Two more homes in Southborough were broken into yesterday. The Metrowest Daily News reports while police were investigating a break-in at a home on School Street, they got a call about one on Latisquama Road.
Lt. Sean James said in both cases burglars gained entry using force when no one was home. He said personal belongings were stolen from each home, but that he could not elaborate on what kinds of items were taken or their overall value.
By my count, that brings the total number of homes broken into since mid-July to six (the MWDN says it’s seven, so my math might be off). Two Southborough businesses and multiple vehicles have also been broken into in recent weeks.
Police have scheduled a community meeting for next Tuesday at 7:00 pm at the Southborough fire station to discuss the recent home and vehicle break-ins and to share tips on how to protect your property.
