The Southborough Public Library offers book clubs for readers of all ages, and they’re all open to the public. Here’s what the groups are reading this month. Pick up a copy and join the discussion.
Adults
First Wednesday Book Group’s October book is The Alienist by Caleb Carr. The group will meet on Wednesday, October 3, at 10:00 a.m. at the Library.
Seniors
The Senior Center Book Group will discuss The Tea Rose by Jennifer Donnelly, on Wednesday, October 10, at 11:00 am, at the Senior Center.
Young Adults
The YA Book Group will discuss The Always War by Margaret Peterson Haddix on Wednesday, October 10, 6:30 pm, at the Library. Pizza and soda provided by Southborough Domino’s on Route 9.
4th-6th Graders*
The 4th-6th Grade Book Group will meet to discuss Ghosthunters And The Totally Moldy Baroness! by Cornelia Funke on Thursday, October 11, 6:30 p.m., at the Library. The group will have a special guest, local author Susan Lubner,
who will talk about being a writer and discuss her new book The Upside of Ordinary.
2nd and 3rd Graders*
The 2nd & 3rd Grade Book Group will meet on Wednesday, October 24, 6:30 p.m., at the Library. The book they will discuss is Going, Going, Gone! with the Pain and the Great One by Judy Blume.
