Next month voters in Massachusetts will be asked to weigh in on the question of legalizing marijuana for medicinal purposes. Next week at the Southborough Library, resident and chairman of the Southborough Board of Health Dr. Louis Fazen will discuss the issues surrounding medical marijuana. It will be a great opportunity to ask questions and get informed before the election.
A graduate of Northwestern University Medical School, Dr. Fazen was trained as a pediatrician at Johns Hopkins, where he obtained a masters degree in public health. His presentation will cover a number of issues surrounding medical marijuana.
The discussion takes place on Tuesday, October 16, starting at 7:00 pm at the Southborough Public Library. It’s free and open to the public. For more information about this or any program at the Library, call (508) 485-5031.
Kind of ironic that last year, the BOH prevented Walgreen’s and other “drug stores” from selling cigarettes since use of tobacco is linked to cancer. Yet those stores can continue to sell marijuana rolling paper.
Ah, the wonders of government.
Maybe because it has been proven that marijuana CURES cancer.
