Don’t feel like baking this year? Get your Thanksgiving goodies at the annual Assabet bake sale next Tuesday. Here are the details:
Now in its sixth year, the pre-Thanksgiving bake sale at Assabet Valley Regional Technical High will help to make the Thanksgiving holiday just a bit sweeter and a lot less stressful by letting the Culinary Arts students and staff do
the baking for them. Imagine that trip over the river and through the woods to the family feast, carrying a beautiful fruit-topped cheesecake, delectable carrot cake, or chocolate cream pie with real whipped cream topping. Complement the meal with fresh bread or dinner rolls, or start the day with some cinnamon coffee cake or breakfast Danish. What a delight when dessert is served, and there are cookies, fruit pies, cream puffs, angel food cakes or French pastries. Don’t forget to save a few brownies as a treat for yourself when that last pot or platter is washed and put away. And if shopping on Black Friday is your thing, reward yourself with a cup of coffee and a leftover whoopee pie when you get back home. The doors to the Epicurean Room restaurant (at the back of the school) will open to the public at 8 AM on Tuesday, November 20th, and will close when the goodies are gone, or 12 PM, whichever comes first. Plan to come early, for
every year ends up being a sell out! The prices are reasonable, the bakery items plentiful and varied, and the quality superb! The school is located at 215 Fitchburg Street, Marlborough, convenient to routes 495, 290, and 85.
