The Algonquin Boosters Club is embarking on a project to install a turf field and track at Algonquin, and they’re looking for volunteers to help. A kick-off meeting is scheduled for Thursday evening. Here are the details.

New Algonquin Turf Field and Track Project

Thursday, December 6th, 6:30pm at Algonquin High School, Rm B120. Looking for enthusiastic volunteers from all aspects of the Northborough and Southborough communities, to help lead the fundraising and decision making aspects of this exciting project.

With the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association’s recently instituted policy awarding only schools with turf fields to host post-season competition, coupled with a track that is due for extensive and costly repairs, these athletic upgrades are essential. A Field Evaluation and Master Plan is being conducted by Gale Associates, Inc., a leader in the athletic facilities consulting field. A representative from Gale Associates will present an over view of the project and guide our group of volunteers towards making this project a reality.
