We all needed some holiday cheer this weekend, and Santa did not let us down. Shortly after noon on a clear, blue-sky Saturday, Santa’s helicopter buzzed the crowd of excited children gathered on St. Mark’s field. He spent time greeting his adoring fans and then journeyed across the street to the Community House to hear the wish lists of (my guess) hundreds of girls and boys.
Southborough photographer Chris Wraight captured some wonderful photos of the scene. I’ve created an extra big gallery because there were so many excellent ones to choose from. Besides, with all that has been going on in our world lately, I don’t think anyone is going to object to the over-abundance of happiness in all these photos. Enjoy.
Ho Ho Ho!
I always enjoy my trip to Southborough! So many great kids, and it’s always a pleasure to see their unbridled joy and excitement!
Favorite gift requests this year included:
All things i___ (Pad, Pod, Phone…)
Puppies (real ones!)
American girl dolls
Legos
In one case, especially for the puppy requests, I reminded the young requester that they have to be especially good to get something like that for Christmas! LOL!
Merry Christmas!
Santa
P.S. – pay it forward this holiday, spread some good cheer and do something nice for someone! Hug your kids! Tell your family how much you love them!
Thanks, Santa. You’re keeping that Christmas Spirit meter up, something we all can use.
