Michael D. Sampson, 29, of Northborough, formerly of Southborough, died Friday, December 21, 2012 in Boston Children’s Hospital, from complications of Cockayne’s Syndrome.
He leaves his mother, Juliette (Seith) Sampson, with whom he lived; his father, David F. Sampson of Southborough; a sister, Emily L. Iannarelli and her husband, Bruce and their daughter, Maci of Marlborough; two brothers, Matthew F. Sampson of Marlborough and Benjamin J. Sampson of Bristol, RI; paternal grandparents, Wilfred H. and Esther M. (Hayes) Sampson of Northborough; maternal grandparents, L. Karl and Louise (Bourdon) Seith of Florida; many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was born in Framingham and lived in Southborough most of his life before moving to Northborough last year. He graduated in 2002 from Algonquin Regional High School and from the Culinary Program at Assabet Valley High School. Michael worked for the Town of Southborough as a custodian before retiring due to his illness. He was a huge Boston Red Sox enthusiast who also enjoyed classic rock and classic cars.
Michael’s family would like to thank all of his caregivers for their care and support throughout his illness.
The funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 27 at 10am In St.Anne Church, 20 Boston Road, Southborough. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, December 26 from 4pm to 7pm in Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main Street, Southborough. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Share and Care Network Inc, P.O. Box 282 , Waterford, VA 20197.
