Closings and cancellations in Southborough (UPDATED)

As you might imagine, there are a number of closings and cancellations to report this morning. Here are all the ones I know about. If you know of others, please shout them out in the comments below. I’ll continue to update this list throughout the day, so be sure to check back.

Schools

• All Southborough and Northborough public schools are closed on Friday.
• Assabet is closed on Friday.
• Fay School is closed on Friday.
• St. Mark’s School has cancelled classes for Friday.

Activities/Events

• Both the Friday and Saturday evening performances of The Little Mermaid Jr. by the Neary Drama Club have been postponed. Friday’s performance will now take place on Tuesday, February 12, and Saturday’s will be Thursday, February 14. Both start at 7:00 pm at the Trottier auditorium. Neary Principal Linda Murdock said they hope the 2:00 pm matinee on Sunday will go on as planned.
• The SOLF/EMS snowshoe clinic at the Beals Preserve on Saturday has been canceled.
• The Southborough Democrats caucus originally scheduled for Saturday afternoon as been postponed to March 2.

Town Services

• The Southborough Town House will be open normal hours on Friday (8:00 am – 12:00 pm).
• The Southborough Library will close at 1:00 pm on Friday and will remain closed on Saturday.
• The Transfer Station will close at 3:00 pm on Friday and will remain closed on Saturday.
• The Southborough Post Office will close at 3:00 pm on Friday.

Transportation

• The MBTA and Commuter Rail will shut down at 3:30 pm. The last train to Southborough will leave South Station at 2:45 pm
