Flags in Southborough and across the state are flying at half staff today in honor of Private First Class Michael A. Gorman. A native of Brookline, Gorman was found dead in his barracks room at Fort Drum, New York last week. Gormon was a decorated soldier having been awarded the Army Service Ribbon, the National Defense Service Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. He was 20 years old.
