MWDN: Southborough town planner abruptly resigns

Southborough is now without a town planner after Eric Denoncourt abruptly resigned from the position late last week. Denoncourt had held the job since October 2010.

Reports the Metrowest Daily News:

Denoncourt said Friday morning that he was “moving on” and taking a little time off. He said he couldn’t say what or where his next job would be.

“(Southborough) is a great community,” he said. “Even when there were disagreements, it was a pleasure to work with everyone here.”

The Planning Board holds authority over the hiring or firing of its employees. Purple said he wasn’t sure when Denoncourt gave Planning Board Chairman Don Morris his notice.

Reached Friday, Morris referred all comment on Denoncourt’s departure to Purple.
