Amid low voter turnout, residents on Monday approved by wide margins two ballot measures that will have a significant impact on how Southborough is governed.
The question to increase the Board of Selectmen from three members to five, passed with 65% of the vote, while the question to expand the authority of the town administrator passed with 81% voting in support.
Voter turnout in the election was 5.5%. There were no contested races.

Thank you to all those that voted in favor of the two questions. You have helped town government move forward. Thanks also to those that voted the other way for voting.
