Southborough cop nabs two alleged drunk drivers at once (5/18/13)
A police officer pulled over and arrested two friends who police say were speeding while drunk in separate cars early Thursday morning. “It was definitely a first,” Sgt. Heath Widdiss said of the dual stop, which happened at about 2:27 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Boston and Framingham roads. (read more)
Southborough chief: boy who reported stranger in home likely mistaken (5/17/13)
Police Chief Jane Moran said this morning police believe a 9-year-old boy who reported a stranger in his home on School Street Thursday was mistaken. Sgt. Ryan Newell said the boy heard a noise at about 4:40 p.m. in his living room, ran into his bathroom and jumped out a window. (read more)
St. Marks says minimal damage caused in fire Thursday (5/17/13)
A small fire inside the basement of a St. Mark’s School chapel Thursday caused minimal damage, a spokesman said Friday. Communications Director Chuck Greene said the fire, which the fire department believes started when candles ignited wooden bench, didn’t do much damage and does not seem suspicious. (read more)
