The Algonquin and Assabet classes of 2013 will take their first steps into the real world this weekend, as both schools hold their graduation ceremonies.

At Algonquin, this year’s seniors will walk across the stage and collect their diplomas in a ceremony on Sunday at 2:00 pm in the school gym. Last night the soon-to-be graduates partied it up at the annual Senior Ball.

From Assabet, 220 seniors, including Southborough resident James Watkins, will receive their diplomas at the DCU Center in Worcester on Saturday. The ceremony begins at 11:00 am.

St. Mark’s held its graduation ceremony last weekend, awarding diplomas to 84 students. Fourteen were members of the Cum Laude Society, and nine received Classics diplomas, entitling them to wear a garland of laurel. Alumna Vanessa Ryan ’93, an Assistant Professor of English Literature at Brown University, delivered the Prize Day address. Katerina von Campe ’13 (Groton, MA) was the Valedictorian speaker. The Founder’s Medal, the School’s highest honor, was also presented to von Campe. You can read more here on the school’s website.
