Going into yesterday’s first round playoff match against Marlborough, the Algonquin baseball team was on a 9-0 winning streak against their Central Division 1 rival. Yesterday they made it 10-0.
Eighth seed Algonquin topped 9th-seed Marlborough by a score of 5-4. The win sends them on to the division quarterfinals on Monday, June 3, where they play an away-game against top-seed Nashoba. First pitch is at 4:00 pm.
The Algonquin boys and girls lacrosse teams are also working their way through their respective postseason tournaments, with both in quarterfinal games on Saturday. Here’s a list of upcoming games.
