This is the beginning of a new series, profiling organizations in our community. Volunteers or staff will clarify who they are and what they do. You can learn about how to utlize their resources, join or help.
I’m beginning with the Southborough Food Pantry this week, to remind people of the great need they have for donations in the summertime.
United Parishes of Southborough Food Pantry
Mission:
Helping our friends and neighbors in time of need with food and other necessities.
Main activities:
The Food Pantry is open and available to all Southborough residents and also to members of the United Parishes Churches (Pilgrim, St. Mark’s, First Community, St. Anne’s and St. Matthew’s Churches).
Your biggest challenge:
Keeping the shelves full especially during the summer months.
How can people best help?
Donations are always needed. People may bring items to any of the churches or to the Pantry when we are open. Monetary donations may be sent to United Parishes of Southborough Food Pantry, PO Box 281, Southborough, MA 01772
How can people join?
Come to the Food Pantry when we are open—Tuesdays from 7-8 p.m. and Fridays from 10-11 a.m. Volunteers are always welcome. Please contact the Pantry to let us know of your interest.
Anything else people should know:
The Food Pantry is located at Pilgrim Church. We are open Tuesdays from 7-8 p.m. and Fridays from 10-11 a.m.
