The Senior Center is offering a new bi-weekly art series through September and October in conjunction with Fruitlands Museum in Harvard, MA. The series will be capped off by a field trip to the museum.
Three presentations will take place at the senior center bi-weekly on Wednesdays, September 11 to October 9. The bus trip will follow on Wednesday, October 23.
The art presentations will include lunch. Suggested donations to help cover the cost are $6 for members and $10 for non-members. More program details are available in the event calendar, but the dates and topics are:
- September 11th — Bronson Alcott and The Devine Spark
- September 25th-Lasting Legacy: Clara Endicott Sears and the History of the Fruitlands Museum
- October 9th— Pastoral Landscapes
The October 23rd Bus will leave the Senior Center at 10:00am for a 10:30 arrival at the Museum and returning to the Senior Center at approximately 3:00pm. You don’t need to have attended the presentations to attend. Suggested donations are $10 for members and $15 for non-members.
Fruitlands Museum is a cluster of small historic buildings on the former site of the unsuccessful utopian community Fruitlands. The buildings were constructed in 1910 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997 as the Fruitlands Museum Historic District.
