Flanders, Susan M. of Marshfield, passed away on September 20, 2013 at the age of 78. She was the beloved wife of Thomas Flanders. Loving mother of Julie Flanders, Thomas Flanders III and the late Patricia Flanders.
Sue was very close to her sisters, Pat Kienholz of Hillsboro, NH and Jhanee Holland of Englewood, FL. She was born in East Hartford, CT and graduated from Central Connecticut College where she majored in Education. She taught school in Michigan and later in Southboro, MA.
Over the years she became a great UConn sports fan and also followed the game of golf. Sue had been living the last year in assisted living at Proprietors Green where she met many new wonderful friends and staff.
She retired to Green Harbor in 2005 after the family lived in Southboro, MA for 22 years.
Visitation will be held at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte 139 on Thursday, September 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 40 Canal St. in Marshfield. Interment will be held in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Marshfield.
