Northborough-Southborough Girls Lacrosse registration will take place in November for the upcoming Spring, 2014 season. The sport is open to girls in both towns in grades 1 through 8.

Returning players can register first, starting this Saturday, November 2.

On November 10, registration opens to the remaining public. The last date to register is Saturday, November 30, 2013.

Registration may be limited by the the number of coaches who volunteer and field availability. So register your daughter early in the month.

If you would like to volunteer to coach, email nsgllax@gmail.com. (Head coaches need to know lacrosse. But any parent can be trained to act as an assistant coach.)

The season generally runs mid-March through mid-June for 3rd-8th graders. 1st/2nd-Graders will have five Saturday clinic style practices, late April through early June. These will be led by both ARHS and St Mark’s varsity players. They will be action packed and a great introduction to the game.

The cost is $137 for registration fee with $25 sibling discount, up to a maximum of $75 per family. New players also need to purchase a uniform for $68.25. Players will also need to buy protective equipment. Their website FAQs provide information on vendor discounts.

If you want to learn more about what’s involved, visit their website, www.nsgl.org. It has a FAQ page that will answer most questions.
