If you read my postseason wrap up earlier this week, you learned that ARHS varsity fall sports ended their championship bids. If you read the comments, you learned I was wrong.
One Algonquin team still has a chance at a State Championship title. The overlooked sport is the one that traditionally cheers on the others. Algonquin Football had a rough season, but their cheerleaders are doing just fine.
ARHS’ Cheerleeding squad came in 2nd out of 12 for their division, bested only by Shrewsbury.
This weekend, they head to the State championship. There they will compete against 28 other teams for a chance to go to Nationals. The competition takes place Sunday, November 24, at 10:30 am.
So, Cheers to them!
