Here are some more stories that I haven’t had a chance to report this month. These focus around police and fire department news.

Southboro Police Dept.’s old drug evidence still hasn’t been destroyed – from source:
The Police Department still sits on more than 700 drug evidence items seized since the early 1990s, despite a town request this summer to destroy nearly half the stockpile — a delay due in part to the ongoing state police drug scandal and a lack of clarity by the state about the drug destruction process. 2 face charges in Worcester, Southboro accidents – from telegram.com:
Two rollover car crashes in the area about a half-hour apart late Friday night and early Saturday morning were the result of drunken driving, state police said. . .

The second happened about 12:15 a.m. Saturday morning on Interstate 495 in Southboro, where a Bridgewater man was ejected from his car as it rolled near Exit 23C, state police said. (read more)

Southborough man facing child porn charges may change plea – from The Metrowest Daily News:
A Southborough sex offender facing child pornography charges has been denied an attempt to suppress evidence and is scheduled for a change of plea hearing in January. (read more)
