This week, 8th graders and families have the chance to tour Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School. It’s also a good time for high schoolers considering a switch to explore their options.

Assabet Valley Prepares for Open House – November 16, 2013
The annual Exhibit/Admissions Night open house at Assabet Valley will be held on Wednesday, December 4th, from 6 PM until 8:30 PM this year. The school opens the doors to the public, encouraging in particular families with 8th grade students to visit the school, tour the building, explore the technical offerings, and to attend an information session about the Admissions process. Alumni Panel at Assabet Valley Shares College Experience – November 27, 2013
For the seventh year, Principal Mark Hollick has hosted an Alumni Panel of former students to spend the morning before Thanksgiving chatting with current juniors and seniors at Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School. The alumni form a panel that discusses the college experience, from the application process to choosing a roommate, from financial aid and scholarships to playing sports, and including the class schedule and amount of time spent out of class doing homework. Assabet Valley Aztechs Entertain Crowd at Providence Bruins – November 16, 2013
When Assabet Valley FIRST Robotics Student Liaison, Amy Fowler, was asked by Dan Chizmar, the Sales Director for the Providence Bruins, to demonstrate the school’s 2013 robot during intermission for a Providence Bruins game, she eagerly approached the team. “What a great way to have a morale event to pull together members of our team that attend other schools (AMSA, Marlborough High, and Hudson High), and to spread the word about the FIRST robotics challenge,“ Fowler said. Assabet Valley Honors Veterans – November 9, 2013
In a solemn ceremony beginning with a Color Guard and ending with a moving rendition of Taps, played by Patrick Hughes from Clinton, Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School remembered America’s veterans. The school’s new Marine Corps Junior ROTC was on hand to present the colors, and honored each branch of the service as well as the Prisoners of War. (read more)

Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School has recently announced that David Stockbridge has been named the 2014 Massachusetts Education Association Secondary Art Educator of the Year. (read more)
Assabet Health Tech Students Earn CNA Designation– October 7, 2013
Once again, the seniors in the Health Technology program at Assabet Valley Regional Technical High had a 100% passing rate on the Certified Nursing Assistant exam, adding one more third party certification to their growing list of accomplishments. As graduates of the Health Technology program, not only are these students totally prepared to enter college in one of the many medical fields, but are also in high demand for immediate employment in many health fields.
