I remember when Southborough Medical Group’s office was in the downtown Main Street office.
Even at Newton Street, it wasn’t that long ago that it seemed being referred to any specialist by SMG meant being sent out of town. Over recent years, expansions added several in house specialists.
This Monday, February 10, they are opening another new suite. Reliant Medical Group’s suite at SMG’s Newton Street center will cover:
- orthopedics
- urology
- neurology
- general surgery

I’m happy that such a comprehensive medical center has developed an thrived in our town. The recent press release included the following on SMG, established in 1972:
SMG has more than 75 providers and more than 450 employees, and serves 60,000 patients in the region. Today, SMG has offices in Southborough, Westborough, Framingham and Milford.
