Today, the Southborough Police Department announced that an officer has been assigned as a liaison to the senior citizens in town:
Congratulations to Officer Aaron Richardson for being named the new Senior Resource Officer for the Southborough Police Department. Officer Richardson will be meeting with our town’s senior citizens; making himself available for questions and answers; as well as serving as a liaison between our town’s elderly population and the Southborough Police Department.
Officer Richardson is currently assigned to the Day Shift (0800 hrs-1600 hrs), and can be reached at (508) 485-2121.
This morning, I spoke briefly with Chief Kenneth Paulhus about the department announcement. He was enthusiastic about the new position and Officer Richardson.
He shared that next on his agenda is assigning a liaison to the business community.
By the way – did you know that the SPD website includes a crime prevention page for Senior Citizens? Safety tips are geared towards older residents and include crimes specific to elder abuse, convalescent homes.
Congratulations to Aaron, he will do great!
