- Forties Hit Parade concert (12:00 – 12:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: The forty members of the Southborough Senior Songsters will sing selections from “Your Hit Parade” that was on the radio every Saturday night from 1935 to 1955. This year, you will hear songs that were sung on the Hit Parade including the Pied Pipers’ “You’ll Never Smile Again”, the Andrew Sister’s “Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree”, Judy Garland’s “I’m Always Chasing Rainbows” , Frank Sinatra’s “Swinging On a Star” and many more of your favorites. The Friday show (for seniors only) will start with a box lunch Suggested donation: $6 for Friends of COA members, $10 for non-members
Saturday, April 26, 2014:
- Earth Day Clean Up (8:30 am – 11:30 am): Rotary Club’s 24th Annual Earth Day Clean Up Starting time 8:30 am at Southborough DPW Building – coffee, pastries and T-shirts will be available (first come first served) At 11:30 am pizza, soda and ice cream will be served at Town Gazebo In between, you’ll be helping to clean up the streets in town. BYOG – Bring Your Own Work Gloves!! To adopt a favorite street in advance, call Southborough’s Department of Public Works at 508-485-1210. Otherwise, you can sign up that morning at DPW’s location next to the Transfer Station. Rain Date Sunday, April 27th.
- Prescription Drug Turn-in (10:00 am – 2:00 pm) @ Southborough Police Department: Prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding your home of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your pills or patches for disposal to Southborough Police Department. (No liquids or needles or sharps.) The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
- Puppet Show (2:30 – 2:30 pm) @ Southborough Public Library: Sparky’s Puppets will be at the Library with “The Land of Enchantment”. You never know what might pop up…an elf? A goblin? A wise old woman? Find out in the Land of Enchantment! Sponsored by Fay School. Open to the public, no registration required.

The Sunday performance is open to the public at $5 per person and includes refreshments
