For the fourth year in a row, the Bazikas family on Atwood Street will hold a yard sale to help raise money for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
It’s an annual event in honor of 11-year-old Gabrielius Bazikas, himself a cancer survivor. When Gabi was 3-1/2 years old, he was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia (AML). Now Gaby is a healthy fifth-grader.
Money raised at the yard sale on Saturday is just part of the family’s fundraising efforts for pediatric cancer research. Every year, Gabi and his family also join in either the Jimmy Fund Walk or PMC Kids Ride.
Saturday’s yard sale takes place at 22 Atwood Street starting at 9:00 am.
In addition to the normal yard sale fare, there will be coffee, and goodies.
