Eileen (Shomphe) Hurley of Southborough died on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Worcester Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center after a period of declining health.
She was the wife of the late John F. Hurley who passed away in 1997
Born in Newton, Eileen was the only daughter of Patrick and Bridget (Delaney) Shomphe.
Mrs. Hurley was a graduate of Newton High School, class of 1932. She was a homemaker and devoted her life to her family. She enjoyed spending summers on the cape and gardening. Eileen was a member of St Anne Church in Southborough and was life long donor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
She leaves her children, Claudia Hurley of Marlborough and Robert Hurley and his wife Karen of Newburyport; a foster daughter, Mary White of Brockton; 3 grandchildren, Marshall and Olivia Hurley; and Bobby Colgate; 2 great grandchildren, Tyra and Ryan Colgate. She is predeceased by her 5 brothers.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service on Saturday June 7, at 10:30 at Lakeview Cemetery in Wayland.
