The week in government (6/30 – 7/6/14): BOS to discuss comments to MassDOT on Main St

  • Board of Selectmen, 6:30 PM @ Hearing Room, Town House (agenda with packet) Agenda Highlights: Acceptance of final report of Main Street Design Working Group; discussion of comments on Main Street reconstruction project to submit to MassDOT. [Note: Before you panic about a missed 10 day deadline . . . I checked in with a selectman and got confirmation that MassDOT gave them a short extension to allow them to meet before submitting their comments.]

Re: Note: No word yet on when the Board of Selectmen are meeting to adopt the Main St. Working Group final report.

That report is time sensitive and was to be sent in to the State by June 28. Could somebody assure me/us that the BOS submitted it.

Does that extension apply to residents as well? It would have been reasonable to let the voters know, so there would be no need to “panic”. Folks are taking this very seriously.
