Last week, an exciting new restaurant opened in town. Yama Fuji describes itself as combining a Steak House, Sushi Bar, Lounge and Asian Fusion.
The restaurant offers Chinese, Japanese, and Tai cuisine:
We use only the finest ingredients and fresh products for our dishes. Our menu was created with the goal of making delicious, healthly, and wholesome Asian foods.
Yama Fuji is located in the Town Center Plaza at 162 Cordaville Road (Route 85, by the Post Office).
The menu seems to have something for everyone. (Far more than I can describe below!)
- There’s a wide offering of sushi and sashimi including hand roll and chef special rolls.
- Appetizers cover traditional offerings like chicken fingers, spring rolls and tempura. But for the more adventurous, options include Chili Pepper Beef Tataki, Buffalo Chicken Dumpling and Duck Rolls.
- Asian Fusion ranges from Broccoli with Beef and General Tsos Chicken to Thai Basil Red Curry Chicken and Chilean Sea Bass w.Black Bean Sauce
- Noodle dishes cover Yuki Udon, Yuki Soba (similar to lo mein), and Pad Thai.
- The Hibachi dishes (cooked in the kitchen) feature steak, chicken and seafood.
- Menus cover dinner, lunch, dessert, and Kids’ Hibachi
The location is convenient for picking up a takeout lunch or dinner. But with a full bar and frozen desserts (like fried ice cream or fried bananas with ice cream), you’ll probably enjoy eating in even more.
The restaurant is open Monday – Thursday 11:30 am – 10:00 pm, Friday and Saturday 11:30 am – 11:00 pm, and Sunday noon – 10:00 pm.

I would also highly recommend Maruyama in westborough! Amazing and fresh cuisine and very reasonably priced!
Yama Fiji was great!
I bought two large meals with miso soup to go and they were reasonably priced and tasted great. Little did I know that we had run out of soy sauce at home so I actually got the full taste of the sushi and I loved how fresh it was.
Staff was great too, they said it would 15 minutes and it only took 10.
My husband and I ate dinner there last night and it was excellent! A very large menu with lots of options and a pleasant, helpful wait staff made for a very good experience. Restaurant was about 3/4 full when we arrived at 7:15 and many folks choosing to use take-out service. Hope they do well.
We went there last night and it was an excellent experience. All of the food was reasonably priced, and excellent quality. We started with a sushi appetizer and it was truly outstanding. We then ordered from the asian fusion menu. I ordered the broccoli and shrimp, and my wife the red curry chicken. The portions were large, and the quality outstanding. We were both completely full, and we took home about half of my wifes dinner. The drinks were good (mai tai and margarita). They have a full bar license. The restaurant is brand new, very clean, very comfortable, and very close. I give them 5 stars.
We can’t wait to try this new place, we’re so excited to have a new restaurant in town! Hopefully more restaurants will pop up … maybe renovate that spot at the corner of Rt9 and Parkerville!?
