This year’s summer concert series will wrap up its season with the Blackstone Valley Bluegrass on Thursday, August 21 (Rain date is scheduled to Thursday, August 28).
These guys are very talented and it’s sure to be a fun night even for those who aren’t bluegrass enthusiasts. Great music for the kids to dance in the grass barefoot,” said Sarah Cassell, assistant director of Southborough Youth and Family Services (SYFS).
A concession stand will be available for listeners to purchase dinner foods such as Domino’s Pizza, hot dogs, popcorn, chips, drinks, and to top off for dessert, ice cream from Cold Stone. All proceeds from concession sales will go toward Southborough Youth Commission’s Send a Kid to Camp fundraiser.
Donations and concession sales helped to fund 40 of Southborough’s kids and teens to attend day and overnight camps this summer (read more).
This is the second year SYFS and Southborough Recreation have partnered to make this event possible. A grant from the Southborough Cultural Arts Council covered the bands’ cost.
Don’t miss the last concert of the season – Thursday, August 21, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Neary School Field.
