The Southborough Community Fund asked me to help them get the word out. They are accepting grant proposals from organizations that serve our community.
Proposals should be submitted by non-profit organizations or town departments. Grants as large as $20,000 will be considered for projects of “exceptional merit”. But they are mainly seeking proposals for $1,000 – $10,000.
Proposals are sought for Southborough projects in the following categories:
- Family and Human Services/Support – programs that assist families, youth, and seniors; help underserved populations; and create pathways to overall quality of life
- Arts & Culture – organizations that contribute to the cultural vitality of the community, promote the visual & performing arts, and work to preserve the historic character of Southborough
- Environment – programs that preserve the natural resources of the town and promote environmental awareness and engagement
SCF is a Town Fund of the Foundation for MetroWest:
They support programs that increase volunteerism and community involvement, strengthen civic engagement, and emphasize collaboration that enhances community initiatives
