Have you ever considered trying Tai Chai or exploring some of the Southborough’s open land? Stop by the Southborough Senior Center (SSC) and give these two new fall activities a try. A cardio-stretch class will also resume next week.
Tai Chai “an internal Chinese martial art that focuses on mental and spiritual aspects of movements will be instructed by Faith Kennedy beginning Thursday, October 2 from 11 a.m. to noon. A three dollar donation is suggested.
Kennedy will offer a free demonstration class, to those who are unfamiliar with the practice, on Thursday, September 18 at 11 a.m.
Mary Ann Anderson and Bill Harrington will lead a walking group through scenic Southborough trails. Wear comfortable sneakers, shoes, long pants, hat, repellent, camera, and a snack. Water will be provided.
- On Tuesday, September 16, the group will walk Chestnut Hill Farm.
- On Tuesday, October 7, the group will explore Breakneck Hill Conservation Land. Events will take place rain or shine.
A cardio-stretch class for men and women will resume with instructor Delaney Taylor beginning September 15, on Mondays and Wednesdays 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. The class will start with a five minute warm-up, 25 minute exercise and end with a five minute cool down. All levels are invited to participate. A three dollar donation is suggested.
