An invitation was issued to high school students in our district (and all of the 5th Congressional District). This Saturday, Congresswoman Katherine Clark is holding a free Service Academy Fair.
It’s appropriate that Clark is hosting. To get in to one of these academies requires a nomination from her or one of our senators. (Or from the Vice President.)
Representatives from the offices of Congresswoman Clark, Senator Warren and Senator Markey will be there to answer questions from students about that process.
Representatives from the following academies are expected to participate:
- the U.S. Military Academy
- the United States Naval Academy
- the Air Force Academy
- the Merchant Marine Academy
- the Coast Guard Academy
They will speak about their academies and be available to answer questions from prospective cadets.
The event is Saturday, September 20 from 9:00 – 11:00 am. It will be held at Framingham High School, 115 A Street.
