Were you feeling a bit more Irish than usual last Tuesday?

If not, maybe you had to be in Worcester.

One week ago, Southborough’s Aiden O’Shea and his hurling team were awarded the key to the City of Worcester.

It was part of a ceremony declaring September 16th, Worcester Gaelic Athletic Club Day.

O’Shea is the chairman of the Worcester Gaelic Athletic Association. Over Labor Day weekend his team won four victories and the first place title at the National Junior Hurling Championships.

Mayor Joseph Petty of Worcester presented the key and made the official proclamation to the right. (Click to enlarge.)
