Time for another open thread. For those of you new to the blog, the open discussion thread is your place to ask questions, sound off on town issues, or share information with other readers. Here are some suggestions to get you started:

What in the world happened with the painting of the white side lines on Main Street and out on Northboro Road? They usually follow the pattern of the old ones but this time they are way off. Looks like somebody had a bucket of paint and a case of beer? Who did the painting this year and did we actually pay for this? It looks horrible!
I believe they are making the road shoulders slightly larger to make more room for bicyclists. But you are right – it looks ridiculous – time will erase the old markings.
Glad to see the street signs being replaced around town last week. We still have more to go – let’s not try to be quaint again. Keep what works.
Does anyone know of an organization/group who accepts donations of old (good condition) trophies/award ribbons? Thank you!
