Police logs (10/17-10/20/14): Car chase and resisting arrest

This weekend, one traffic stop turned into a short chase, then a struggle, ending in arrest. Read about that incident and more in the latest logs from the Southborough Police Department.

Friday, October 17, 2014:

  • 0104 hrs- Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Marlboro Road.
  • 0149 hrs- Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
  • 0509 hrs- A medical was reported at a Wyndemere Drive residence.
  • 0800 hrs- Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Marlboro Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 0826 hrs- A resident of Newton Street reported that his rock wall was struck and damaged at some point during the night. The responding officer took a report on the incident.
  • 0954 hrs- Southborough officers checked the area of Main Street for a possibly impaired driver in the area. The driver was later located in Framingham by the Framingham Police Department.
  • 1025 hrs- A Sears Road resident reported a suspicious male party on their property. The white male rang their doorbell and asked for a person who did not live there. The male party then left the area in a dark blue Honda sedan. The responding officer reported back that the male party had left the area.
  • 1153 hrs- Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Boston Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 1535 hrs- ARRESTED: A Lawrence man was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License and having no Inspection sticker. Mr. Sanchez was also cited for possession of Marijuana.
  • 1816 hrs- A medical was reported at a Liberty Drive residence.
  • 2211 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.

Saturday, October 18, 2014:

  • 0129 hrs- ARRESTED: A Shirley man was charged with OUI Alcohol (2nd offense); Marked Lanes Violation; No Inspection Sticker; and Speeding.
  • 0459 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 0510 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Central Street business.
  • 1009 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Middle Road residence.
  • 1017 hrs- Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Deerfoot Road.
  • 1021 hrs- A motorist reported a Road Rage incident that had occurred on October 17th. An officer took a report on the incident.
  • 1044 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Mt. Vickery Road residence.
  • 1442 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Cordaville Road business.
  • 2203 hrs- ARRESTED: A Marlborough man was charged with Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle. During the traffic stop, he attempted to flee from the scene in his vehicle. A short pursuit took place, in which [the suspect] refused to stop for officers. He was subsequently stopped and placed into custody, after a brief struggle with the arresting officer. [The suspect] was additionally charged with Failure to Stop for Police and Resisting Arrest.

Sunday, October 19, 2014:

  • 0717 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Central Street business.
  • 1406 hrs- A medical was reported at a Breakneck Hill Road residence.
  • 1552 hrs- Officers responded to Turnpike Road to investigate a report of an erratic operator in the area. The responding officers cleared with negative findings.

Monday, October 20, 2014:

  • 0216 hrs- An officer investigated a report of a suspicious person parked in front of a St. Martin Drive business. The individual checked out ok.
  • 0426 hrs- A medical was reported at a Mt. Vickery Road residence.
  • 0734 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Boston Road residence.
  • 0741 hrs- A medical was reported at a Turnpike Road business.
  • 0838 hrs- Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 0927 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Main Street business.
  • 1111 hrs- An officer investigated a reported Identity Theft on Bay Path Lane. The incident is currently under investigation.
  • 1254 hrs- An officer investigated a report of two motor bikes driving on private property on Fairview Drive. The responding officer reported back negative findings in the area.
  • 1655 hrs- A resident of Atwood Road filed a Harassing Phone Calls complaint with the police department.
  • 1742 hrs- Officers investigated an accidental 911 call from a Stub Toe Lane residence.
  • 2159 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Sears Road residence.

Last Wednesday I called the Southborough Police Department with a medical emergency and Officer Aaron Richardson responded quickly and so very professionally. I want to say thank you to Officer Richardson and to recognize our police force for being the caring and professional people that they are.
