Southborough Police have been busy – especially last Thursday.
They are still investigating an unsuccessful burglary attempt reported that evening.
Earlier in the day, they responded to reports of a firearm discovered on cemetery grounds and the sound of shots fired elsewhere in town.

Thursday, December 18, 2014:
- 0035 hrs- Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
- 0047 hrs- An officer assisted a Meeting House Lane resident with a residential alarm problem.
- 0114 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
- 0915 hrs- Solicitors registered at the police station.
- 0927 hrs- An officer responded to Main Street near Fay School to investigate a report of a possible rabid fox in the area. The responding officer reported back negative findings.
- 1143 hrs- An officer investigated a report of a possible abandoned motor vehicle on Asaree Drive.
- 1218 hrs- An officer responded to Rural Cemetery after a landscaping company found a firearm on the cemetery grounds. The firearm was located, secured, and the area was processed. The incident is under investigation at this time.
- 1220 hrs- Solicitors registered at the police station.
- 1517 hrs- Officers investigated an accidental 911 call from a Southville Road business.
- 1550 hrs- An officer assisted a motorist with a civil matter at the police station.
- 1641 hrs- A resident of Buffalo Run Road reported hearing gunshots in the area. Responding officers checked the area, but reported back negative findings.
- 1651 hrs- A medical was reported at a Boston Road residence.
- 1929 hrs- A resident of Oak Hill Road reported that someone attempted to break into their residence through the back door. The door was damaged, but the suspect was not able to gain entry. - 1931 hrs- An officer investigated a panic alarm at a Newton Street business.
- 1948 hrs- A medical was reported at a Flagg Road residence.
- 2246 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
- 2326 hrs- ARRESTED: A Southborough man was charged with OUI Alcohol (2nd Offense); Operating to Endanger; Breakdown Lane Violation; Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Revoked Registration; and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
Friday, December 19, 2014:
- 0208 hrs- ARRESTED: A Framingham man was charged with OUI Alcohol; Marked Lanes Violation; and Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
- 1212 hrs- An officer responded to Turnpike Road to investigate a report of a male party lying in the roadway. The male was located off the roadway, and the responding officer reported back that he checked out ok.
- 1246 hrs- An officer checked on a suspicious individual on Central Street. The officer reported back that the individual checked out ok.
- 1338 hrs- An officer responded to Trottier Middle School with the Fire Department to investigate an elevator alarm.
- 1411 hrs- A medical was reported at a Turnpike Road business.
- 1637 hrs- An officer investigated a parking complaint at a Turnpike Road business.
- 1727 hrs- An officer investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
- 2326 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
Saturday, December 20, 2014:
- 0056 hrs- ARRESTED: A Mashpee man was placed under arrest after it was determined that there was an active warrant for his arrest out of Falmouth District Court.
- 0933 hrs- A medical was reported at a Highland Street residence.
- 1051 hrs- An officer responded to Turnpike Road to assist the Fire Department with a small brush fire in front of a business.
- 1402 hrs- A medical was reported at a Turnpike Road business.
- 1410 hrs- A medical was reported at a Framingham Road business.
- 1505 hrs- Southborough Officers provided mutual aid to Westborough Police Department by investigating an alarm call in their town.
- 1654 hrs- Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
- 1742 hrs- Animal Control located a small puppy in the area of Chestnut Hill Road and Jericho Hill Road.
- 1834 hrs- An officer investigated a report of an erratic operator in the area of Framingham Road. The vehicle was located and the operator checked out ok.
- 1947 hrs- A motorist reported hitting a deer in the area of Highland Street. The deer left the area, and there were no injuries to the motorist.
- 2102 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Central Street business.
Sunday, December 21, 2014:
- 0836 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Central Street business.
- 0936 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Main Street residence.
- 1431 hrs- An officer responded to the Maple Street area to investigate a report of a suspicious motor vehicle in the area. The officer reported back negative findings.
- 2121 hrs- A medical was reported at an Old Harry Road residence.
