Judith E. Kearns, 78, of Southborough, died Tuesday, December 30, 2014 after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family.
She was the wife of the late Joseph E. Kearns , who passed away in October.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Lennon) White.
Judy graduated from Framingham State College in 1958 and for many years was a favorite art teacher with the Southborough Public Schools.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband Joseph, especially to Ormond Beach, Florida in the winter and to Boothbay, Maine in the summer. She loved reading, quilting and the many friends she made in Southborough since calling this town home, more than 40 years ago.
She leaves her two sons, Douglas J. Kearns and his wife, Kimberlee of Bedford, NH; Jeffrey J. Kearns and his wife, Lauren, of North Richland Hills, TX ; four grandchildren, Jack, Mackenzie, Zachary and David Kearns; two sisters, Ursula Pearce of SC and Susie Einolf of MD and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son Edward J. Kearns and her siblings; Mary Jane White; Barbie Grady; Brendon and Richard White.
A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, January 7, at 10:00 am at St Anne Church, 20 Boston Road (Route 30), Southborough. Burial will follow in the Southborough Rural Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
