The Southborough Recreation Department is promoting their upcoming floral design workshop for adults.
Nancy Vargas of Le Jardin Blanc will lead an introduction to floral design:
Floral Design Principles – “Color, Texture & Composition”
Thursday, January 22, 6:30 – 8:00 pm
South Union Building
$80/pp
Vargas will present the basics of material selection and preparation, floral design tools and supplies, focusing on the use of floral foam, and the use of fruits and vegetables in floral creations.
She will also discuss the design principles of color, scale, texture, rhythm and repetition.
The class includes a hands-on workshop during which students will create their own monochromatic design utilizing the materials and techniques presented.
Students are asked to bring floral clippers. All other materials and tools will be provided.
