For the 5th time in two weeks, school in Southborough and Northborough has been cancelled.
This pushes the last day of school to Tuesday, June 23.
While many assume school will be again cancelled on Tuesday, the schools are waiting to make a call on that.
As announced by Superintendent Christine Johnson:
We will continue to monitor the progress of this storm and its impact on snow accumulations as well as road conditions.
As for other closings, like Town facilities and status of scheduled committee meetings, no announcements on those yet. So, stay tuned.
Updated (2/9/15 7:45 am): Town offices will open at 10 am today.
Don’t hate me, but I’m so glad I work from home!
Updated (2/9/15 1:30 pm): The Southborough Library is closed today. (Just saw Town tweet from around 10:30.)
Updated (2/9/15 4:38 pm): All MBTA rail services will be suspended at 7:00 p.m. This means no Subway, Trolleys or Commuter Rail trains will depart Boston after 7:00 p.m on Monday, February 9, 2015. Limited MBTA bus service will continue until the end of regular service hours, but customers are advised that connections to subway and Commuter Rail lines will not be available.
If the govenor wants non-essential state personnel to stay home, why are town offices opening at 10? Shouldn’t they be closed? What about the Superintendent’s office?
