Art Show organizers are hard at work converting Neary hallways into a gallery. Next Wednesday, March 4 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, parents are welcome to the school’s annual art exhibit.
Art Teacher Denise Johnson tells me that volunteers have been busy helping her mat, label, and hang colorful paintings, drawings, and sculptures.
Johnsons promotes:
Among many other projects, the exhibit will include paper mache birds, clay Hopi seed pots, landscape paintings, and Pop art inspired by American artists such as Andy Warhol. Additionally, with each student participating, there will be almost 300 self-portraits!
All are welcome to come in out of the cold, leave all that white stuff behind, and enjoy the colorful creativity of our Southborough fourth and fifth grade students.
