Who’d want to sell door to door in these conditions? Judging by the police logs, several solicitors do.
But what really kept police busy since Wednesday was car problems on the roads. Over the past five days, Police responded to sixteen reported collisions and disabled vehicles, plus a truck leaking fuel.

Wednesday, February 25, 2015:
- 0045 hrs- Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
- 0639 hrs- Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
- 0952 hrs- An officer investigated a parking complaint on Bigelow Road.
- 1259 hrs- Solicitors registered at the police station.
- 1322 hrs- A medical was reported at a Mt. Vickery Road residence.
- 1328 hrs- Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Cordaville Road.
- 1340 hrs- Another group of solicitors registered at the police station.
- 1419 hrs- A medical was reported at a Kenley Lane residence.
- 1454 hrs- Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
- 1608 hrs- Officers investigated a three car, motor vehicle accident on Willow Street. Injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
- 1712 hrs- Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Central Street. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
Thursday, February 26, 2015:
- 0050 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
- 0452 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Wolfpen Lane residence.
- 0817 hrs- Officers investigated a report of a suspicious activity at a Johnson Road residence.
- 0928 hrs- Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
- 1123 hrs- An officer investigated a parking complaint on Maple Street.
- 1146 hrs- Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Main Street. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
- 1333 hrs- Solicitors registered at the police station.
- 1344 hrs- An officer took a report of harassing phone calls from a Boston Road resident.
- 1512 hrs- An officer assisted with a traffic complaint on Valley Road.
- 1550 hrs- Officers responded to Turnpike Road to investigate a report of an erratic operator in the area. The responding officers reported back negative findings.
- 1626 hrs- An individual was taken into Protective Custody at a Turnpike Road business, due to alcohol intoxication.
- 1742 hrs- Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from a Main Street residence.
- 2014 hrs- A medical was reported at a Boston Road residence.
- 2130 hrs- Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Cordaville Road.
Friday, February 27, 2015:
- 0135 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Constitution Drive residence.
- 0749 hrs- An officer assisted the Fire Department on Red Gate Lane with a truck leaking fuel on the ground.
- 0952 hrs- Officers conducted a requested well-being check on a Turnpike Road resident.
- 1047 hrs- An officer took a Harassment complaint from a Turnpike Road resident.
- 1519 hrs- Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Cordaville Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
- 1545 hrs- Officers conducted a requested well-being check on a Turnpike Road resident.
- 1633 hrs- Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
- 1746 hrs- Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
- 1857 hrs- An officer investigated a report of a wire down in the area of Fairview Drive.
- 2016 hrs- Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Cordaville Road. Injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
- 2134 hrs- ARRESTED: An Arlington resident was charged with OUI Alcohol; Marked Lanes Violation; and Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
Saturday, February 28, 2015:
- 0755 hrs- An officer responded to a Crystal Pond Road business to assist the owner with a problem concerning an ex-employee.
- 0922 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
- 0945 hrs- An officer provided a funeral transport from St. Ann’s church.
- 1018 hrs- Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
- 1357 hrs- Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Sarsenstone Way residence.
Sunday, March 1, 2015:
- 0008 hrs- A medical was reported at a Blueberry Lane residence.
- 0711 hrs- An officer responded with the Fire Department to investigate a report of smoke in the area of Finn School. The smoke was found to be coming from a nearby chimney.
- 1300 hrs- An officer assisted a disabled motorist on Framingham Road.
- 1304 hrs- A medical was reported at a Turnpike Road residence.
- 1738 hrs- The DPW was called out to treat the roadways.
- 2142 hrs- Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
