The Southborough Gardeners are promoting their annual scholarship. Applications are due Wednesday, April 15. If you assumed the scholarship is exclusive to horticulture, look again.
Take note if a student you know is planning to major in any of the following fields:
- Horticulture
- Floral Design
- Environmental Studies
- Ecology
- Conservation
- Agriculture
- Botany
- Landscape Architecture/Design
Here are the details:
Southborough Gardeners’ Scholarship
Once again, the Southborough Gardeners are offering a scholarship to be awarded to a student who has been accepted to a school of higher learning or is presently attending college, majoring in one of the following fields: Art, Sciences related to Horticulture, Floral Design, Environmental Studies, Ecology, Conservation, Agriculture, Botany, or Landscape Architecture/Design. To be eligible, the candidate must be a two year resident of Southborough and must demonstrate scholastic achievement and good citizenship. The amount of the award this year is $2000. The award may be divided between two qualified candidates at the discretion of the scholarship committee.
