The Economic Development Committee recently launched a new website geared towards businesses.
The site markets the town as a place where businesses can grow. It also acts as a resource with helpful links including listings of commercial properties available.
Titled “Doing Business in Southborough”, the website focuses on what our town has to offer. It touts Southborough’s thriving economy, skilled workforce, exceptional schools and infrastructure.
Apparently EDC thinks we have some things to brag about. Most notably:
- 115% job growth since 1980
- Single tax rate of $16.18 per $1,000
- Education level: 63.1% Bachelor’s degree or higher; 32% Graduate Degree
- Household Income of $134,460
The EDC Chair, David McCay explains:
Southborough offers the best of all worlds – small town, rural charm, great amenities, a thriving local economy, and an outstanding central location with easy access to Boston and Worcester. The new website is another vehicle to tell that story and help Southborough businesses grow and prosper.
