What are the large black items hanging from the trees along Framingham Road? They look like some type of bug catcher. There are quit a few.

I saw them too and then saw this on Worcester Telegram!
Thanks. My co-worker showed me the article that was in Metrowest as well.
Does anyone know the official length of the track at Trottier? Standard length is 400 meters but the track seems shorter than that.
Does anyone know whether there will be any carnivals in nearby towns this summer? Thanks!
I think there is one either this weekend or next weekend on route 9, just outside of Framingham state university
Kevin,
The Trottier track is 300 meters in length. The length of this track was restricted due to the adjacent wetlands.
Thank you for the info!
Joe, How sure are you? I’ve been pretty sure it’s 320m, (so that 5 laps is a mile). My times for that length seem right.
It’s 300M…it is short.
Algonquin HS is a 1/4 mile track if you’re looking for an accurate distance. Just remember that the smaller the track, the tighter the turns, the tougher on your legs and knees.
Who do I ask to see where I’m allowed to put a fence on my property? I assume there is some setback, but along the road I’m on, there are some people with fences set back up to 6 feet from the edge of the sidewalk, and some that are right up along the sidewalk. I’m not sure what’s allowed..
I would suggest checking with the Building Inspector – Mark Robidoux, Building Commissioner – 485-0717 x3022
On Monday evening, June 29, I was heading into the police station when I noticed the firefighters next door digging up their vegetable garden. What’s that all about?
Our firefighters plant a veggie garden every year. They use the veggies in their meals.
Digging as in removing the plantings
Ahh, well they have planted the same garden there for years. Maybe the plants are not thriving this year with the cool, wet summer we are having so far.
That would be a shame. Their garden has always had a good yield.
