This month, Southborough Recreation is offering weekly classes for girls grades 5 and up and adults. The focus is on becoming their personal best by being fit and healthy.
Sessions are offered by age groups grades 5-8, 9-12, and adults. They take place on Thursdays, afternoons/evenings July 16 through August 6.
Have fun learning how to be healthy and fit in this 60 minute class.
HEALTHY EATING:
- What foods are healthy and what foods are treats
- How to read nutrition labels
- How to make healthy choices to fuel your body to feel your best!
EXERCISE:
You will learn different types of exercises and learn the benefits of each, (aerobic/cardio activities, basic weight training, pilates, yoga stretching)
GOAL SETTING:
You will set individual goals for the session such as eat fewer treats and more healthy food, include more physical activity daily, or drink more water and less [sugary] drinks. You will also learn skin care and make up tips for a beautiful natural healthy look!

It is not only girls who need healthy goals and accepting their bodies. I don’t understand why boys are ignored for these topics. Boys have unhealthy views of their bodies too and need to understand heathy eating for a strong body.
