There’s a new golf tournament in town this fall. (Well, maybe not “in” town, but “for” the town.)

St. Anne’s Church is joining the fray with a fundraiser for their youth programs. Their event takes place on Thursday, September 24th. Registration is now open.

That inaugural tournament follows three days after the 24th annual Falconi Golf Tournament for the Council on Aging.

Registration for the Falconit ournament hasn’t been posted yet. But the Senior Center’s summer newsletter encourages anyone interested in learning more to call Brian Donovan at the senior center. In addition to golfers, they are seeking sponsors and volunteer committee members to help with the September 21st event.

Here are the details on St. Anne’s tournament:

St. Anne Church was established in 1886 and has been an institution within the Southborough community for over 125 years. Today, St. Anne is a thriving parish of over 700 families within the greater Southborough area, drawing members from such nearby towns as Marlborough, Westborough, Framingham, Sudbury, Ashland, and Hudson. Throughout its history, community outreach and support has been extended locally, nationally and internationally to organizations such as the Southborough Food Pantry, the Hurricane Katrina Relief program and the Camp Perrin School in Haiti where a school canteen is presently being constructed.

In conjunction with the above endeavors, the growth and development of the youth of the greater Southborough community is a fundamental objective at St. Anne’s. In addition to its affiliations with other youth development organizations, St. Anne’s operates its own educational programs and initiatives that cater to children from Kindergarten age through High School. The St. Anne youth programs are conducted on the St. Anne campus through our own dedicated staff with assistance from parents and other volunteers. The staff provides direct teaching, as well as organized community and social activities such as our annual trip to Mississippi where our high school youth service families in need.

We look forward to seeing you there! Questions – contact Bernadine Small at 508-662-0357.
