More roadwork announced: Boston Road, Central Street, Pleasant Street and more

The Department of Public Works certainly isn’t slacking off this summer.

The department just announced more roadwork updates. Streets under construction (or soon to be) are Boston Road (Rte 30 from East Main to Central Street), Central Street, Breakneck Hill Road, Cherry and Pleasant Streets:

Roadwork begins on Central Street and Boston Road on Tuesday, August 18.

Pavement milling will be conducted on Central Street from the railroad tracks north to Boston Road. The intersection will also be milled.

Pavement milling will be conducted on Boston Road from East Main Street to Framingham Road. The intersection at Framingham Road and Boston Road will also be milled. Paving will follow in September.

The Route 30 Causeway (between the Central Street lights and the Framingham Road lights) will be closed on August 27 & 28 for reclaiming and first course paving. Seek alternate routes – follow detours

Breakneck Hill Road will be closed (open only to local traffic) on Monday and Tuesday, August 17th & 18th. Seek alternate routes – follow detours

Reclaim work on Cherry and Pleasant Streets will begin on Wednesday, August 19th.
