Southborough’s shared hockey league has kicked off its youth skating/hockey clinics. (I didn’t get the news in time to share it last week.)
So far, you’ve only missed one Saturday. I’m told it’s not to late to join the session in progress, with 7 weeks left. And two more 8-week sessions follow.
The skating school program is offered through Triboro Youth Hockey Association*, a.k.a. the Triboro Titans.
The beginner through intermediate clinics focus on skating basics. Instructors split students into groups by skill level:
Triboro Youth Hockey Learn to Skate/Hockey Skating Clinic
Triboro Youth Hockey is proud to continue its Learn to Skate/Hockey Skating Clinic Programs at the Navin Rink in Marlborough. This program is designed for beginners and students that are looking to learn how to skate. This clinic teaches basic skating skills through a progression of ability levels from beginner to intermediate.
The first session of Learn To Skate for the season will start Saturday October 3rd, 2015, and will run each Saturday for 8 weeks, all starting at 8:30 AM. The cost is $150 for each 8 week session. There may also be a one-time fee for USA Hockey registration depending on your child’s age.
Triboro Youth Hockey has once again contracted with The John Dillon Power Skating School for a eleventh straight year to run its Learn to Skate/Hockey Skating program. John Dillon’s Instructors splits the ice up into sections, places students in a group appropriate to their skill level. Each level builds on what they have learned in previous levels.
What’s needed for this session: skates, a helmet with a face mask, and hockey gloves (or mittens or gloves) to protect the hands are required; elbow pads and shin guards are recommended. All students will receive a Triboro hockey jersey and medal.
Here are the dates for the three sessions:
Session #1 – Oct 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, Nov 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th
Session #2 – Dec 12th, Dec 19th, 26th, Jan 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th
