With freezing overnight temps in the forecast, one club at Assabet is eager to prepare for skiing and snowboarding season.
Next week, Assabet will hold their annual ski and snowboard swap at the school. It’s not just an opportunity to buy. You can also register to sell those old skies that have been gathering dust.
The event takes place on Sunday, October 25th in the school’s cafeteria:
GIANT SKI AND SNOWBOARD SHOP OR SWAP AT ASSABET
After the New England winter last year, many residents are considering SNOW to be a nasty four letter word. However, for those who are already chanting “Let it snow, let it snow”, mark Sunday, October 25th on the calendar, and consider it the unofficial opening of WINTER SPORTS SEASON.
The Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School’s Annual Ski and Snowboard Sale is scheduled from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM in the school’s cafeteria at 215 Fitchburg Street, Marlborough.
If you’re in the market to purchase or upgrade skiing or snowboarding equipment and clothing before the season begins, this is the perfect opportunity. There will be two sports equipment dealers participating, Strand’s Ski Shop and White’s Ski Shop, and both new and used clothing and equipment for downhill, cross country, and snowboarding will be on display and reasonably priced.
To register to sell your own equipment and clothing, please arrive between 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM and speak with Wayne Coulson. You set your own price and you will only pay commission on the items that sell.
This event is sponsored by the AV Sliders club at Assabet Valley, and all proceeds go to the club’s transportation fund. Cash or checks only, no credit cards accepted.
For more information or directions to the school, please call Coulson at 508-485-9430, ext. 1449.
