For the second year, Algonquin students are organizing a fundraiser for The Boys and Girls Clubs. The “5K for the Kids” takes place this Saturday, November 7th.
To draw in a crowd, organizers are promising fun for all ages that includes a BBQ, music, festivities and a 5K Color Run.
Start off the race with a white t-shirt and end it sporting a rainbow, thanks to showers of color chalk along the route.
Money raised will help supply sports equipment and offset membership costs for The Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro west. The chapter serves our area with locations in Framingham, Hudson, and Marlborough:
Each year BGCMW provides youth development, education, prevention, social, athletic, and recreation programs to over 3,500 at-risk children and teens.
Organizers are encouraging both children and adults to run. The first 100 to show up on race day will receive a free t-shirt.
Registration is $30. You can signup online or on Saturday morning. Or if you’d like to support the event without slipping on sneakers, click here to make a donation.
